Socgen Asset Management Adds to Middle East, Africa Analyst Team

Société Générale Asset Management UK has appointed Waleed Hamdy as an analyst within its Middle East and North Africa equity team, reporting to Mark Krombas, manager of the firm’s MENA strategy.

Mr Hamdy joins from Beltone Securities Brokerage in Cairo where he advised clients on company valuations.

Total assets within the SGAM MENA strategy stand at $2.25 billion, through two Luxembourg-domiciled funds, the UCITS II fund Ocean Fund Equities MENA Opportunities and the UCITS III fund SGAM Fund Equities MENA, a closed ended fund, several funds managed for third parties and funds for regional offices throughout the SGAM Group.
